In the background, but oh so important!

These are the men and women who ensure that a concert by the Lisiduna orchestras is a success. It is not only the music that makes a concert successful.

Of course, the orchestra members must ensure that they can play their parts, the conductor must forge it into a whole, the rehearsal room must be attractive, and for a concert in a hall or outdoors, enthusiastic listeners then complete the picture.

Almost complete! Because the music stands, chairs, drum kit and timpani, lighting and sound equipment don't just magically appear at the concert venue from the rehearsal room. That's where the men and women of the transport team come in.

And that transport team is looking to expand. With the increase in the number of concerts, instruments and sound equipment, the transport team could use some extra “hands and feet”.

Feel free to come and watch one of Lisiduna's orchestra rehearsals or concerts. You don't need to be able to play a musical instrument. A healthy dose of humour, muscle power, a can-do attitude and a sense of community spirit are enough. Because let's be honest, who wouldn't want to be part of such a renowned music association as Lisiduna, which has been around for more than 115 years?
